Reporting: Add Object... or Add Group...

When opening a report you are presented with two options to add objects to the report parameters, they are to 'Add Object...' or 'Add Group...'. And, it seems to be quite common thinking that it doesn't matter which option you pick, which I can understand as the same objects or groups...
