David Carradine - Goes to the fluffy kung-fu temple in the sky

Published 05 June 2009 10:41

Heard this yesterday, David Carradine was found in a cupboard singularly performing strange sexual rituals. What a way to go. He was one of my favorite B movie actors. Legendary indeed. I guess his blocking technique wasn't up to par, or his shaolin monk training had slipped to the wayside over the years as he managed to off himself in a rather embarrassing way.

Here's bio on David for those of you in the dark: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Carradine

Most famous for his portrayal of a wandering monk Kwai Chang Caine in the TV series Grasshopper: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kung_Fu_(TV_series)

Who remembers the intro to Grasshopper where he tries to take the pebble from his masters hand? Classic TV.

Master Po: Close your eyes. What do you hear?
Young Caine: I hear the water, I hear the birds.
Po: Do you hear your own heartbeat?
Caine: No.
Po: Do you hear the grasshopper that is at your feet?
Caine: Old man, how is it that you hear these things?
Po: Young man, how is it that you do not?

A sure sign that you are getting old when those that you use to watch as a kid on a Saturday morning, are, well, popping off like flies.
