I just received a phone call from a very worried sister.
She had just received a phone call from a company called Global Support On Click.
They explained to her that there was a problem with her computer, which of course they could fix, all she had to do was turn her computer on and let them connect to it. She immediately panicked, took their phone number and said she would ring them back.
As normal, the first thing she does when she has any questions about her computer is ring her little brother up to ask what she should do.
So I gave them a ring on the number provided 01274 900 834.
After being put on hold a few times and transferred several times, I was told that the person she spoke to was meant to say, there may be a problem with her computer and Global Support On Click were there to help, (for a fee I am sure) so it was obviously just a cold call which they denied they made, and proceeded to give me the figures about how many computers that connect to the internet get infected, slow down etc…. I have no problem with this, my only problem is with them ringing people up telling them they have a problem with their computers, they were unwilling to tell me where they got her information from, but not to worry as they were affiliated with Microsoft and support all their operating systems – mm really?
Having looked at their website and doubt this to be true, so just be careful out there, Global Support On Click may call you.
