Hi All,few days back i was requested by a client to get a compliance list of a specific software update...fine..and easy...i tought...as it is SCCM 2007, I could use Compliance 2 - Specific software update, but unfortunatelly, the SU i was trying to get the compliance is not published via WSUS (is one of those you have to request through MS website)...in this case, how could i try to get it?!?!?!!?1st i was trying to get it using SQL on the server, but it did not help, in this case, i went to the client and i discovered that Windows keeps it on the WMI Class win32_reliabilityRecords...2nd, how to get it?!?!?! if i was going to change the Hardware Inventory, i had to raise a change request and as we're in the midle of olympics, only emergencial changes was going trough...in this case, hw inventory was NO...and after breaking my head, i requested help from my MVP friends and Kim Oppalfens said 1 word: DCM...it was enough and help me a lot...to achieve this, i had to
1- Create a Configuration Item to query the WMINamespace: root\cimv2Class: win32_reliabilityRecordsProperty: ProductNameWQL Query WHERE clause: sourcename = 'Microsoft-Windows-WindowsUpdateClient' and ProductName = '<PUT HERE THE PRODUCT NAME>'
2- Created Baseline
3- Assigned baseline to the collection i wanted...now was easy...i used the report Summary compliance by configuration baseline and my job was done :)
